This paper captures the Local Net Zero Accelerator three pilot Authorities’ approach the Mayoral Renewables Fund. It provides useful insights to future Strategic Authorities on the key learnings to approach funding opportunities, including practical insights into unlocking pipelines, building investable propositions, and using strategic governance to accelerate project readiness.

This synthesis will capture learnings from three Local Net Zero Accelerator pilots, offering practical guidance for designing net zero investment strategies that attract investors. It will be developed towards the end of the programme when pipeline bundling reaches maturity.

This document will help local authorities navigate bundling commercially investable projects and assist in tying up all other methodologies of bundling from the guidance documents on the topic.
